Hello all,
When I play something from Apple Music from my Iphone, should I also then be able to see and control that song/album in Apple Music on my Mac? Currently that isn't happening and I don't know why.

Did you add to library or just play? See also Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music - Apple Support and make sure that Sync Library is enabled on the computer. Try File > LIbrary > Update Cloud Library to refresh the library on the Mac.
