Contacts disappeared

Try this. From a PC or Mac, log in with your Apple ID here:

Tap account settings under your name and profile picture. In the advanced section, you can find Restore Contacts. Try this.

Have a Backup of this iPhone:

If you have a backup of this iPhone that contains most (if not all) of these contacts, then restore from it. All would go back. Consider doing the same on your Mac or other applicable Apple device. Just be sure your create a backup today, before restoring from the older backup.
