Toslink
Running Big Sur OS on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020) will play sound through internal speakers and headset. It will not play through a Toslink plugged into headphone socket ? Ideas?

The latest iMac’s with a single headphone jack, no longer support optical digital output.
You will need to get and use a USB to optical digital adapter or a USB DAC that supports optical digital output.
