Migrating to a new mac
Does the Migration Assistant allow for selecting only certain apps to migrate to the new mac?

No, but you can move them manually using an external drive, or just reinstall them. If you’re migrating from a Mac with macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier, be aware that 32-but apps won’t run in newer macOS versions. If you migrate all apps, incompatible ones are placed in a separate folder.
