Can i Upgrade OS?

I have an early 2009, 17" MacBook Pro, and was using El Capitan until my Hard drive stopped working, now after getting it replaced, I can only get the OS up to 10.10.5, and Yosemite, is there a way to get my OS up so i can get El Capitan again please

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on El Capitan.
