Purchase of MacPro - unable to action updates, iMovies, notes etc

I have just purchased a new MacPro and 5 updates need actioning. Internet connection is fine, I am signed in with my Apple ID and password but the updates just won't load, the circles just keep turning.


The software update worked without a problem.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2
