I just purchased new iPhone 12. Charging adapter to iMac does not fit USB outlets on rear of computer. Do I have to purchase separate parts???

If you have a power adapter and cord from an older iPhone or iPad you can use that.
If you need to buy a power adapter, one option is: Buy 20W USB-C Power Adapter - Apple

I just purchased new iphone 12. How am I supposed to charge it? Charging adapter to my iMac that came with phone is not regular USB size (smaller). What am I supposed to connect to?
