apple wallet card showing up on watch but not iphone

today i added my card to my iphone x and synced it to my apple watch se. however, after a while, the card disappeared from my wallet and it did not let me add it again due to an “error”. however, i can still see the card on my watch. my phone has the newest software update, and i tried restarting it multiple times already. someone please help me
