Convert Excel to numbers

You open the Excel file in Numbers, at which time Numbers will translate it into its internal .numbers document format. The original Excel file remains unchanged. Not all functionality of Excel is retained during the translation process.

Open the Numbers app on your Mac and then use the Numbers File menu - Open and select an Excel file. It will convert it to the best of its ability and open the file.
