To begin, let's make sure your iPhone is fully up-to-date. Use the steps here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're already up-to-date, let's complete a standard restart with the steps here: Restart your iPhone

Also, if you're using any kind of headphones or connected speaker, test listening to the podcasts with that disconnected. If it doesn't happen with that connected, the issue is with the speaker or headphones.
