Bought brand new-got refurbished one

Hi

I just bought a brand new Iphone 8 Plus on 2017 when it was launched, from Sharaf DG, Dubai, UAE .

Recently I came to know about the alphabet in serial number which indicates the source of the device. When I checked mine I was shocked to see 'F' in my serial number which means Refurbished.

Actually I went for a brand new piece for which I was cheated by giving me a refurbished one which I can get far more cheaper than brand new.

Now even if I sale this one no one will buy for reasonable price.

Is there any way to solve my issue?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 14

Actually, the serial number with an “F” does not indicate that it is refurbished.

If the Model number starts with “F” it indicates it is a refurbished model.

So, what is the model number at: Settings - General - About - Model = ???
