iMac update

I have an older iMac with latest update of High Sierra. Can my iMac be updated to the latest update? What’s the procedure to do this?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

You need a 2012 or later iMac to upgrade beyond High Sierra.

You need a 2014 or later iMac to install Big Sur.
