Can you extend two hdmi monitors to a macbook pro docking station?

I have a 2017 MacBook Pro and I'm trying to extend the display onto two HDMI monitors.

I just bought an USB-C Laptop Docking Station with Power Delivery 3.0 (https://www.iogear.com/product/GUD3C35) and I've got two AOC monitors with HDMI, VGA, DVI inputs. I ran two HDMI cables from each monitor:

One cable plugged directly into the dock, works great, cool.

The other HDMI cable I put an adapter on (USB Type-C) and plugged directly into the dock as well - however this one does not work. I tried using a mini DisplayPort adapter instead, but that just mirrored the display when I'm trying to extend it.

If I plug the HDMI (with USB-C adapter) directly into the MacBook it works, is there a way I can get this to work plugging it into the dock? Essentially I want both displays plugged into the dock so that I only have one connection to the MacBook.

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.11

The problem is the dock. This is from the page you linked, note that Macs don’t do extended.

Docks from OWC, Brydge (Stone Pro), and Elgato properly support dual displays on a Mac. The OWC Thunderbolt 3 Mini Dock is the least expensive option.

No, the best you’ll get with both monitors connected to that dock is the internal display with one desktop and the two monitors mirroring each other with a second desktop. If you want two external desktops you’ll need to connect one display through your dock and one directly to your Mac, or if you want just one cable you’ll need a different dock (one of the ones mentioned above; FWIW I used an Elgato dock at my office, and I have a Brydge Stone Pro at home).
