I have been downloading Podcasts to keep on my iPod Classic up until a year or so ago when I had a break.
I tried to do this yesterday and it seems that iTunes has changed with Pod Casts now a separate App.
I have downloaded the episode I wanted, but cannot find it in my iTunes folder where I have kept it in the past.
Has Podcasts changed so much now, I can no longer download them to my iPod Classic ?
Apple has left me confused as to why it has made this change.
Presumably you've updated to Catalina or Big Sur. See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. Syncing should be managed through Finder. The Podcasts and Books apps both hide content away in hidden library folders which is irritating if you like to be in control.

I love my iPad Classic and it is so good to have my music available when I am away camping miles from any wi fi of cell signals.
