If you use Preserve camera settings, you need not go to Settings every now and then

You can preserve the last camera mode, filter, lighting, depth, and Live Photo settings you used so they’re not reset when you next open Camera.

  1. Go to Settings  > Camera > Preserve Settings.
  2. Turn on any of the following:
    • Camera Mode: Preserve the last camera mode you used, such as Video or Pano.
    • Creative Controls: Preserve the last settings you used for the filter, lighting option (on iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, and later), or depth control (on iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and later).
    • Exposure Adjustment: Preserve the exposure control setting (on iPhone 11 and later).
    • Apple ProRAW: Preserve the Apple ProRAW setting (on iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max).
    • Live Photo: Preserve the Live Photo setting.
