Does the new iPod touch have CarPlay?

Just wondering if the current iPod touch has CarPlay? I’d love to just leave one connected in my car and not have to USB my phone every time.

I can only play it by Bluetooth which sucks because not only does it not show the album covers and the titles lag, but it can only be controlled fully by the device itself. This is dangerous for driving. I want to control it from the car screen. The car has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Is there a way to connect the Ipod so that it is controlled by the car radio?

CarPlay does not work if iPhone XS is locked I have CarPlay settings enabled for using CarPlay when my phone is locked, but I still have to manually unlock the phone to get it to work. Is there something besides the 'use CarPlay when locked' setting in General that I need to do? I have a low tech package on the car so I have to connect with a USB cable.
