MacBook Air will not update OS following factory reset.

I reset a MacBook Air (Mid-2015 model) but now the MACOS will not update beyond 10.13.6 making it impossible to install apps from the App Store. How can I update the MACOS when the App Store will not offer an update to 10.14 or higher?

(There is sufficient memory and space available for updates.)

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur through the links provided. They're full-version upgrades and won't appear in the Updates list.
