Cursor click displaced
Using Google apps like Maps and Calendar in Safari my cursor clicks about an inch and a half to the right and down of where my cursor actually is. This doesn't happen in Google Chrome. Why?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hello scobiedoo,
Thanks for posting. As we understand it, when you Google Maps or Google Calendar in Safari, you find your cursor clicks in an unexpected location. Is that correct? We'd like to see how we can help.
Does this happen with any other websites in Safari, or only those two?
Which macOS version are you using? You can check by clicking Apple menu () > About This Mac.
To narrow the issue down, you can try testing in a newly-created administrator account and in safe mode. This helps to rule out a few software causes, depending on the results. These articles have the steps:
Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac
How to use safe mode on your Mac
Let us know if you're able to replicate this behavior in another user account and in safe mode.
Take care.

Hi there scobiedoo,
We appreciate those details. It’s helpful knowing that the issue did not occur when you were in a new user account.
Since the issue is specific to Safari in one user account, give these steps a try and let us know the results: If Safari doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected
Best wishes.
Hello scobiedoo,
We appreciate you giving that a try! Since the issue persists after completing those steps, we recommend using this link to get in touch with Apple directly in order to look at this further: Contact Apple Support
Cheers.
Hi ryane77,
thanks for the quick reply and thanks for your help!
The same thing happens on Amazon's website when zooming in on products.
I am currently using Catalina 10.15.7.
Creating a new administrator account solved the problem.
Safe mode did not.
Looking forward to your analysis.
Kind regards
Hi ryane77,
unfortunately none of the steps solved the problem.
Kind regards.
Hi ryane77,
it's kind of you to stick with this.
I think I will just continue with the new admin account and just transfer my files over.
Thanks for all your help!
Kind regards,
James
