2nd generation apple pencil

I am unable to pair my new 2nd generation Apple Pencil with my new IPad Pro (2nd generation). I have followed all the suggestions on the apple website ie rebooting iPad, turning Bluetooth on and off etc but still doesn’t not come up with the pair option. It’s fully charged and my iPad can see it when I magnetically attach it as the image spins but doesn’t appear in my Bluetooth settings. Under devices there is a continuous spinning image but no devices suggested. Any ideas??

Yes definitely. My husband and I both took delivery of new iPads and pencils and there’s no problem with his :(

As both yourself and your husband have identical iPad and Pencil, as a simple diagnostic exercise, why not swap your Pencils?

If your Pencil, with which you are having difficulties, successfully pairs and operates with your husbands iPad, you will have demonstrated that the Pencil is operating normally.

By contrast, if your husband’s “known good” Pencil does not pair with your own iPad, you will have localised the issue to your iPad. If the Pencil does work, then you both have working Pencils.
