Computer was factory reset but cannot install OS

MacBook Pro 13" 2018 was factory reset but now trying to reinstall OS, it will not let me. I have tried to reset NVRM, but that does not work and continue to see folder with question mark. No firmware password is on and date/time is correct. Every time I try to reinstall OS goes through the process and towards end says error has occurred during installation. Not sure what to do anymore.

Did you erase the whole physical SSD? Here is an Apple article showing how to erase the physical SSD instead of just the "Macintosh HD" volume:

Try running the Apple Diagnostics.

If you still have problems and you have access to another Mac you can try to "Restore" the T2 firmware:

https://support.apple.com/guide/apple-configurator-2/revive-or-restore-an-intel-based-mac-apdebea5be51/mac

Otherwise you may need to have Apple or an AASP examine your laptop and assist you in restoring the OS.
