Does anyone have a solution to the lack of Big Sur drivers for my 5740 all-in-one?

Have you asked HP?

Is it an Officejet 5740?

Click on the link below,

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-5740-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617253/model/6617254

make sure the operating system selector is set to macOS 11.0 (Big Sur)

There are two downloads available, click on the + boxes to reveal them, follow

the instructions.

Open System Preferences> Printers and Scanners and add your printer to the list.

At Default Printer select your printer.
