AirPods stay connected when in charging case.

My AirPods will stay connected when in the charging case. When I go to use them, they will not be fully charged. Any ideas?

Hmm, is the charging case cover closed? They are designed to turn off when in the case with the cover closed:

Connect and use your AirPods and AirPods Pro
