Watch with iPad

I used the suggestion to install the Home app. I had it on the iPad but not on my iPhone. Once I had them both installed AND connected to iCloud, my iPad immediately found my watch for the workouts. Might want to also make sure iCloud Keychain is enabled. I tried this step first. when it didn't solve the problem I did not go back and disable it so Keychain may have something to do with this. I just don't know.

Thank you for your help. My iPad has the latest as does my series 5 watch. Bluetooth is on, on both devices. When I open the Fitness+ app on the iPad and select a workout, it searches for my watch. After a bit, it doesn’t find it and gives the notice “Apple Watch Unavailable”.

Again, help is appreciated!
