I am concerned that my apple iMac does not support Mojave

updating from el capitan to mojave not working - anyone else has this problem? i'm still using el capitan and wanted to upgrade to mojave as i need some programs which don't run on the newest upgrade (e.g. myob). whenever i want to download mojave it comes up with: "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS." is there anything that can be done? Thanks for any help and suggestion

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and download Mojave; open the link in a browser other than Firefox.
