I cannot add my printer!

I used to have no problems with using my printer with my MacBook Air, via the standard USB cable. But then something happened, where I managed to only add my printer for scanning use. Tried using different USB ports, checking my wifi connection, turning my printer off and on, updating my software on my MacBook Air too. My laptop does not recognise my printer when I plug in my USB printer cable. When I click on the add printer button, the following shows up (picture below). Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi,

Are you using the latest Epson Stylus SX200 driver?

Have you tried to reset the printing system and re-adding the printer?

Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support

Also, do you have access to another computer (Mac or PC) where you could test the printer and its USB connection?

Is the SX200 working OK if you try a nozzle check (test page) from the printer's panel?

Hello Jan,

The printer does work from another laptop, desktop. I have reset my printing system, where there are no saved printers to my Macbook Air now. I will try and figure out the Epson driver now. Thanks for your help,

Hi Jan. Just letting you know that the Epson driver worked. I installed it, added it to my printer and scanner on system preferences and TADA! Thank you.
