Help me understand Airport and it's function?

The Airports were discontinued by Apple in AprIl 2018, so we'll assume that you have an AirPort now, would that be correct?
What model of AirPort do you have?
Is this a new product in a box that has not ever been set up?
Is this a used AirPort that someone else has used previously?
