When I open preferences in mail app. I get a blank page that says Signature. What is wrong with the app? I have looked at other answers to this question and it seems so complicated that I don't want to begin the process because I expect it will create even more problems. Is there a simple answer or do I just give up and leave it? I've been using Apple since 1982 seems you have to be a computer technician to do anything on a Mac. It probably won't be much longer till I can't even use Apple any more. Now it's telling me to choose a topic but there is no way to do that. How do I disconnect from the Matrix?

It is getting tougher. :(

Start with these & report back please...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?
