Wacom Intuos PTH-651 not working with Big Sur

I've read through the three different ways to install my Wacom tablet that are most current, but my tablet does not connect to Big Sur on my iMac.

I have gone through all of the permissions

I have deleted the system preference.plist file

and have deleted/reinstalled the Wacom driver many times

Still will not connect.

When I go to the Wacom Desktop Center and run the driver check, it says error, but doesn't show how to fix it.

Anyone have luck getting their tablets to work?

iMac 27″, macOS 11.1

Thanks to everyone with the simple solution.

If you have CleanMyMac it will stop the driver unless its enabled.

OpenCleanMac Program.

OpenCleanMac>Optimization>Launch Agents> enable all wacom things.

I finally fixed the problem. You must have followed this instruction. I tried ,it didn't work again. But it can still help you:

Step 4: If the issue continues or if no Wacom components are listed

If no Wacom components are listed, move the Security & Privacy

preferences to the side, we will need to return here within a few steps.

  • Click on the desktop and press Command+Shift+G, open Finder, or click Go on the Menu Bar and select Go to Folder
  • Type: /Library/ PrivilegedHelperTools/ then press GO
  • Locate the com.wacom.IOManager.app
  • Making sure you are still allowed to make changes (lock is open),
  • drag and drop the com.wacom.IOManger.app to the list under Accessibility
  • in the Security & Privacy section. Ensure the new item is checked.
    • If this item will not check there may be an issue with your Mac OS and you need to contact Apple Support.

  • Next, open the Go menu once again and Type: /Applications/Wacom Tablet/.Tablet then press GO
    • You may need to force Finder to show hidden files by pressing CMD + Shift + ”.”

  • Now drag and drop the WacomTabletDriver and WacomTouchDriver from
  • this folder on to the list under Input Monitoring in the Security &
  • Privacy section.

  • NOTE: with previous driver installations, these
  • files may be found under: /Library/Application Support/Tablet/ Please
  • make sure you always install the latest driver possible.

  • Close the preferences, restart your computer.
  • Next Scroll down to Folders Permissions, Locate Wacom Desktop Center
  • and turn on any checkmarks attached to Wacom Desktop Center.
  • Next under Automation also in the privacy tab in the Security &
  • Privacy. Any Wacom components here should also have checkmarks. If the
  • Wacom Desktop Center is not listed, it means it hasn’t requested control
  • from the OS yet. To add the Wacom Desktop Center to Automation, follow
  • the steps below.
    • Launch the Wacom Desktop Center
    • Select your device and go to any of the settings (such as pen settings)
    • A dialog will open, make sure to allow the app.
    • Close the preferences, restart your computer.
    • Go to the Privacy tab again, select Accessibility then click on the lock at the bottom of the preferences to make changes.
    • Uncheck the com.Wacom.IOManager, then log out of the user.
    • Login into the user again, open Accessibility and check the add the driver setting again.

After trying all of them, the problem was solved with a change in the OpenCleanMac Program.

OpenCleanMac>Optimization>Launch Agents> enable all wacom things.

After that the problem was solved.

I really don't know, repeatedly downloaded and installed the most current version.

But every time I see the same error..

maybe that's the answer:

IMPORTANT: This driver does not support any changes

of the display settings through the Wacom software. Pen displays will

only operate at their current brightness and color settings when used on

an Apple ARM computer and are not recommended to use with this driver.

Wacom is currently working on driver version 6.3.42 that will offer

full support for macOS 11 on ARM computers, including support for

displays settings on pen displays. We are targeting to release this

driver at the early February 2021.

Wacom pretty well decried the existence of CleanMyMac, and it was that app which did what hours of phone/email time w/Wacom, to the point they basically said, "Sorry, mate, you're pretty well buggered, everything's good on our side.

Took a bad-*** CatLady AppleCare agent to turn me onto this thread, and within 15 minutes my PTH-660 was reading available by the static Wacom screen. Cudos to this thread and the AppleCarae agent to get me back up and running.

Jeers to Wacom for chaining their feet to the chair and mindlessly blaming the problem on everything else but a brisk look in the mirror.
