iPod not showing up in iTunes

I am working on uploading new music to my brothers iPod Classic. I did this about two months ago for him without any issues but now my computer and iTunes are not recognizing that he iPod is plugged in via USB. I checked "System Information" to see if my laptop was even reading the device and it isn't. I have no idea how to move forward....

iTunes won't recognise my Ipod Using Windows 10 on my laptop and iTunes. I had a situation where on syncing to my Ipod only about a third of the tracks on the laptop were syncing. On chaecking I found that two thirds of tracks had an ! next to the listing. I knew from using Windows player that those tracks were there. So I deinstalled and reinstalled ITunes and the ! dissapeared. However on connecting my Ipod by the usb port it does not show in ITunes. Deinstalling and reinstalling ITunes again as well as rebooting the laptop to no avail. Any ideas anybody?

Ipod nano device not showing on itunes PC, windows 10 recognises my ipod nano but the device does not show in iTunes. Is there a way I can fix this? Thanks. S.

Try another cable, check for fluff in the docking port.
