Ipod nano device not showing on itunes

PC, windows 10 recognises my ipod nano but the device does not show in iTunes. Is there a way I can fix this? Thanks. S.

I did this about two months ago for him without any issues but now my computer and iTunes are not recognizing that he iPod is plugged in via USB.
