Cant get 5120x1440 resolution with m1 Mac mini 16gb

I have a SAMSUNG LC49RG90SSNXZA 49-Inch CRG9 Ultrawide Monitor, the max resolution I can get is 3840x1080 - this is also the case when holding the option key to see more resolution sizes.

I know a lot of users are getting this to work with SwitchResX but I don't believe I should have to pay for software when Apple says this will work with displays up to 6k, this should also work natively without the extra resolutions workaround. Anyone able to get this to work?

Mac mini 2018 or later
