How do you add sound and music Keynote slideshow

There are many ways to add sound to a presentation.


  • for an existing file on your Mac, to play only on that slide, open a Finder window and drag the file on to the slide
  • to play a sound file from the start of the presentation play over all the slides and until the end of the sound file, go to: Inspector / Document / Audio and drag the sound file on to the soundtrack well
  • you can add a voice over or record a live sound on to a specific slide using: Insert > Record Audio
