Unable to set up Apple Watch because it says I'm not connected to Wi-F

I am unable to update my I watch to the latest software. I keep getting the message that update cannot be completed as I am not connected to the internet. Please help.

Please see https://support.apple.com/HT204641 and check all the conditions required:

* Connected to WiFi

* Watch on charger and at least 50% charged


If that doesn’t help, check your internet connection over WiFi is behaving correctly.
