URL icons have disappeared

I like to save some UrLs on the desktop.

I can then see them is various finder windows.

The URLs now just show a blank page icon.

All my other icons seem to be ok .

They are visible on the screen.

How can I get them back? They have been there for years.

Using Mojave 10.14.6. Happened after the latest update.

Can't move to new system because I need to run the old quicken for a while.
