I just turned on two factor authentication. Does this mean every time I sign in to my Apple account, or even within the account when it asks, I have to get a phone call with the number. I don't have a smart phone so don't use a text message.

You are welcome. Others have posted that even though their device/computer is trusted, it still required a code. What I posted above is the way it should work, but based on discussions I have read, that doesn't always happen.

For the emails, this is also an occasional problem for some people. Are the emails at iCloud.com/Mail using a computer browser? Have you tried quitting Mail to see if the emails will download after opening Mail again?

Mr. Root,

Thank you for your answer. Your answer makes sense. I don't know why last night I had to have the code sent again shortly after doing it the first time. I think what happened was the iPad went to sleep and after waking it up, I needed to put in another code, meaning another phone call.

If I can raise anther question. This morning, my @me.com email did not download to my Apple mail, which it had been doing. It looks as if I've goofed somewhere. Whom or what to contact for help?

Thanks so much for your answer and help!

Sally
