I want to upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave and I just keep going round in circles. I click on the link and get the info on Mojave but no download file and when I go to mojave support it takes me to a download page for BIG SUR. So frustrating.

Thanks. Apparently you already downloaded Mojave. That's why the button says "Open". Look in your Applications folder for a file called "Install macOS Mojave" and double-click on it.

Here's what I see when in High Sierra and click on the link I posted with Safari.
Clicked on the link using Safari - took me to the app store page as before but still no download - but thank you anyway.

It's compatible. When you clicked on the link, did the App Store open? Any error message?
Sorry, I guess you said the App Store opened. Was there a Get/Download button?
No download anywhere so I went to the support mojave on the right hand side and it took me to a download for Big Sur - which I don't want.
Can you post a screen shot of the App Store window? I'm not understanding what you are seeing or did.
