If I set a reminder in the reminders app and set a monthly schedule, I can see the reminder. Fine.
But if I mark it as complete, it doesn't disappear.
Instead it just shows the "next month" reminder.
This is no good as I will just become blind to its existence if it is displayed on a permanent basis.
How can I make the reminder only show up when it is due?

OK found it. Long press the Reminders widget, edit widget, change to Today view

Make sure you use the Today view
Pretty sure that is how it has always worked.
By the way are you looking at the Scheduled view?
The Today view should not show it.

btw yes I noticed the Widget will not open in Today view. I hate widgets so Im not the expert .
