Unstable Airdrop

Hello fellow Apple users

After updating to Big Sur in a newer Macbook Pro and buying a iphone 12 Pro, it is very rare that Airdrop is working. I am very well aware of all the settings, it is just a question of extremely unstable Airdrop, useless.

Does anybody have a fix? Or alternative more reliable none apple software to transfer files between these devices?
