My MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2014 is supposed to run Big Sur, but cannot download it through the Software Update nor the App Store. In the App Store when I click on Get, returns the message: Update not found. The requested version of MacOS is not available.
Thanks you. I think that's exactly the problem. They prevented all 2013 & 2014 MBPros to install Big Sur. I guess I'll keep running Catalina until the new Silicon MBPro 16 inch comes out and I'll ditch this one. Best regards,

I would suggest restarting your computer. Even on my 2020 MacBook Pro I had to do that to make it show up
