Mac OS Big Sur will not Download

Although Mac Store says that Big Sur will run on my imac when i click on get i am told that Update could not be found. Advice would be appreciated.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

FWIW, you need a 2014 or later iMac to install Big Sur. The info in the App Store is incorrect.

My Macbook pro late 2014 doesn't show big sur as an upgrade My MacBook Pro Retina Mid 2014 is supposed to run Big Sur, but cannot download it through the Software Update nor the App Store. In the App Store when I click on Get, returns the message: Update not found. The requested version of MacOS is not available.

Thanks dialabrain, my Mac would be 2013 maybe time for me to upgrade.
