Chris is correct. Phone storage cannot be shared. iCloud storage can be shared, but it is not Phone storage and should not be confused as such.
Shared iCloud storage will not change the physical local capacity of an iPhone in any way shape or form.
That is only sharing your iCloud. There is no way to share phone storage.
