iPhone 12 Pro Max screen captures of video are too dark

Screen captures of videos are way too dark! Tried suggestions like turning zoom off or turning zoom filter to off (instead of low light) do NOT work. Also tried suggestion of turning off HDR. HELP!

Hello jdog1,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you're having issues with either screenshots or screen recordings. Would you mind clarifying which feature it is you're using? Also, what types of videos are you attempting to capture? Are they videos you've made with your iPhone, or something you're streaming through a streaming service?

Have you tried restarting or force restarting your iPhone?

Restart your iPhone

Force restart your iPhone

Are you using Dark Mode for your iPhone? If so, have you tried disabling this and testing to see if the issue continues? Settings > Display & Brightness.

Also, what's the iOS version you have installed? This is in Settings > General > About.

Best regards.
