Broken screen on 5 series Apple Watch

I’ve spent 40 minutes on the phone with Apple care lastnight and the same today just to try to send my watch that I have had less than a year in to get repaired. It is ridiculous to be on the phone that long and no resolution. How can I just send my watch into be repaired?!
