Just bought a Apple Watch with US Cellular

Hi,

I just bought an Apple watch online in the US and when ordering online it did not say specifically that the cellular in the watch is only meant for the US.

I specifically asked the person that handed me the watch when I went to pick it up at Altamonte Mall, Florida, if the cellular would work internationally because I am from Europe and I want to set it up back home. He said it should as long as there is company in your country that has the ability to connect with Apple Watch

So because I'm an International Student in the states when I got home to start the watch there I did not see anything wrong with it. But when I took it to my Cellular provider in Iceland they said that they could not connect to because it had a Us chip in it and not European/Asian.

So now I have a watch that I paid so much more money for because of the Cellular and now I can't use it.

What can i do in this situation? Because I am not happy at all that he told me that I could use it in Europe.

I'm guessing that it has been longer than the 14 days for a return? If not, contact Apple about a return. If it has been longer than 14 days your best option would be to sell the device to someone in the US. Unfortunately, you received incorrect information from the person you picked it up from, or they misunderstood your question. While the Watch will work when accompanied by your iPhone, it is correct that the cellular Watches are regional devices.
