After updating Big Sur, I cannot login to iMessage on my macbook pro

I just updated the big sur with te latest version. Now I cannot login to iMessage and Facetime. The ID and password are definately correct. It shows nothing. No error and no any other response except asking you login again and again. Is is a new bug or is there any error on my account? By the way, I can use iMessage on my iphone 12 pro and my ipad.

The most efficient way is to contact apple online supporters. I got a remote assistance and they maybe reset the account status. After I restarting my Mac, I can normly login to the iMessage and also received a new confirmation that shows my Apple ID can be used for Mac iMessage. Therefore, the issue is solved. Hope it can help others. :P

I had this same problem on my kids' accounts. On 1 computer with 2 kids and 2 adults the kids' accounts both failed and both of the adults' accounts worked. I called apple support and it turns out that the kids accounts were "blocked" from signing in. Apple lifted the block and now they are able to log in.

I am glad to hear others are having this issue. Sure wish someone at Apple Support would follow this thread. I contacted Apple Support and their answer was to reinstall the OS. What are we using Windows now? LOL.

But seriously, I can log into the account on a new user on the machine, so not sure why a blockage by Apple would cause this. I will try contacting them again and see if I can get a better answer.
