I am not able to download macos Big Sur on my MB Air 2017. have been trying for over five hours now. i keep getting a message reading "an error occurred while installing the selected updates"

Try again at a later time when traffic dies down.

Yea it sucks. I've been having the same issue since 1:15. I have a MB Pro 2020. Hopefully Apple finally "fixes" it soon, rather than just PR'ing through their status website.
