what happens to the actual iCloud storage content if subscribe to Apple One

I have read on the FAQ regarding what happens to existing iCloud storage 'plan' if subscribing to Apple One w/iCloud storage, but nowhere does it mention what happens to the actual *content* stored on existing iCloud storage.... it states: "During the free trial, you keep both your current iCloud storage plan and the iCloud storage in Apple One. Once the trial is finished, your current iCloud storage plan is canceled. Your total iCloud storage will be the amount included in your Apple One subscription."

So when the 'current iCloud storage plan is canceled' how can i be sure the CONTENT stored there (and it's also already a family sharing of 2TB) is 'transferred to' or 'available on' the new iCloud storage in Apple One?

It’s a cloud based system. Your data never moves at all. All that happens is various system pointers track your data and whatever plan your paying for. It’s all just account tracking. Nothing changes with your actual data. It simultaneously lives in countless areas on the iCloud system all the time.

When subscribing for extra allowed space with any cloud system, nothing about your data is touched at all. It’s all just account data that tracks your allocated storage space (available, allowed quota versus used), and what you’re billed for every month. They don’t have to do anything with your data. Data is tied to your AppleID. Apple just needs to track what plan your AppleID is subscribed to, what your limits are on that plan and how much and when to bill you.

Basically, i'm looking for a spelled-out assurance... like when the quoted portion of the FAQ in my original inquiry states "your current iCloud storage plan is canceled..." how bout it say right after that "**and your existing stored content is transitioned to your new Apple One iCloud storage**" if that's the intent.... or "**and steps will be provided to direct you how to move your existing stored content from your existing iCloud storage to your new Apple One iCloud storage**" or something to that effect.... ;)
