iPad OS 14.2 will not update

Anyone else having trouble updating to iPad OS 14.2? When trying over WiFi it gets stuck in the ‘preparing update’ stage. Have tried updating via Finder on my Mac but it gets stuck via that route as well.

Also looks to be the same issue updating to IOS 14.2 on my iPhone.

Tested well enough? In any event, not the best bit of PR just days before the ‘One More Thing’ event.

iPad 8th gen update to 15.7.2 fails/not avail Update from 15.6.1 to 15.7.2 via WiFi (with a good internet connection) fails with "Software Update Failed - An error occurred downloading iPadOS 15.72" (and there is 6GB available space on the iPad). Via a MacBook Pro using Monterey, the General tab has "Software," but only an update to 16.2 is available, not the lesser step to 15.7.2. Anybody know what might be up with a failing update on the iPad or how to get the "via the computer" method to offer something other than the brand spanking newest 16.2? thx

I cannot update 14os software on iPad Pro 9.7. Tried several attempts to update 14.2os on my iPad Pro 9.7 (less than 2 yrs old), and it downloads, but gets slowed up in "preparing update",... before I get the "Failure" notice. I have turned off the Automatic updates and rebooted. No luck on any. BTW, I have plenty of memory. What else can be wrong?

Have updated both now but they took an age.
