How do you enable the showing of a file path, at the bottom of a window/

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

You can also "Show Tab Bar" from the same drop down, if still no luck with your option to "Show Path Bar"

[may or may not be visible and may have to able the Terminal command above(?) ]

If you made changes and still no resolve—

You can try relaunch Finder. From the >Force Quit>Finder>Relaunch


Alternatively you can show full path bar in the title section of Finder from the Terminal.app copy and paste:


defaults write com.apple.finder _FXShowPosixPathInTitle -bool YES  && killall Finder
