can't stop menu to get pairing with remote
just bought apple tv. Trying to pare remote the languages fly by it dose;t stop when it hits english

The touch surface allows swiping (gliding slowly with your thumb or other finger)
or tapping off-center for stepping in that direction.
The sensitivity can be adjusted after setup.
